Highland Felting

Highland Felting is a family run business in the high country of Tasmania, Australia. Patricia Miller first started the business in 2004 but due to bad health has now retired,  Sue Mott from Tasmanian House of Fibre has continued Pat's dream.

We use industrial carding equipment to ensure consistency in our product quality and hand dye all of our batts and slivers to achieve rich and unique colours.

Highland Felting now supply quality products to all the corners of the world.

Sue Mott

Fibre Artist and Alpaca Breeder Sue Mott is at the heart of Highland Felting, she is assisted by her husband and young daughter, with some input from her mum too. Sue is well known for her use of vibrant colours and innovative fibre ideas.  Sue finds the flexibility of felt fascinating and enjoys sharing this wonderful art-form.
